ATI Nano 17 - F/T sensor, the smallest commercially available 6-axis transducer in the world is useful in research applications such as dental research, robotic surgery, robotic hand surgery and finger force surgery. It provides excellent resolution of about .318 gram-force. It uses high strength EDM wire cut from high yield strength stainless steel and supports overload values of about 3.1 to 13.8 times rated capacities. The silicon strain gages offer signals that are 75 times stronger compared to conventional foil gage which is amplified further giving high signal to noise ratio. The E-exit version of the transducer provides resistance to a 10 lb cable pull force.
