RV1846 is a small (18x46 mm) optical linear detector, especially suited for use in multiaxis machines such as mills and lathes. It comes in a number of sizes (up to 1240 mm reading length) with resolution between ,5-5 μm. It has a glass measurement scale graduated in photo-etched chromium.
