HBM C Series strain gauges (SGs) feature 1 or 2 measuring grids. These have been specifically developed for extreme temperatures between -269 °C to +250 °C, and deliver an adapted temperature response ranging from -200 °C to +250 °C. Series C strain gauges are easy to operate as they also include flexible use.
Types LC1 and LC6 are linear strain gauges for measuring strain in a single direction.
Type XC1 is a 0°/90° rosette for analysis of the states of biaxial stress with principal strain in known direction.
Type RC1 is a 0°/45°/90° rosette for analysis of a biaxial stress state with principal strain in unknown direction.
Options of nominal (rated) resistances of 120 and 350 ohms are available for Series C strain gauges with varying temperature responses customized for steel or as per specific requirements. The measuring grid carrier is made of polyimide. A special CrNi alloy is included in the measuring grid.
