The new absolute encoders are single and multiturn encoders which feature easy wiring and programming. They have solid and hollow shafts and a stainless steel version is available. They can be used with all common bus interfaces such as Profibus DPV1/2, DeviceNet, ProfiNet and CANopen interface EtherNet/IP, and Modbus which are provided. Extra functions are available at favorable prices.

The new photoelectric absolute encodes with SSI interface are used in automated plant and machinery to detect angle, speed, position and distance. They complement the ifm product family, offering additional interfaces and extended functionality as well as a convincing performance/price ratio. Stainless steel versions are available.

Easy wiring and programming is ensured by the removable bus connection cap and additional interfaces.
