The wms series is manufactured by Microsonic, and is an ultrasonic sensor that needs to be linked to the user's control and signal evaluation device. The unit has a trigger input which is used for controlling the ultrasonic transmitter. It also has an echo output with a load of up to 10 mA, and is used for the user-provided evaluation in the controller.

The wms series has a measuring capacity that ranges from 30 mm up to 8 m with a resolution of 0.36 mm.
