This sensor helps in detecting a variety of objects regardless of their color, size and material. It can detect metallic as well as non-metallic objects. The ultrasonic beam is limited to a width of 8°, which enables it to detect smaller objects of 2 X 2 cm.

While detecting the objects, it suppresses the background. This results in smooth detection of the objects. It is sealed in a protected case that resist dust and dirt. The ultrasonic waves emitted at a frequency of 200 KHz provides greater immunity to the sensor by reducing the impact of environmental condition.
