The 40 series is a line of capacitive sensors manufactured by Rechner. It is suitable for use in locations with gas explosion risk.

The sensor features a diameter of 8x1 m, and a sensing distance of 0.5 mm. It is enclosed in a brass housing, with a certification from ATEX.
