The Optical Distance and Presence Sensor OAS enhances gripper's dependability, gripping error detection as well as parts and positional differentiation.

Fast Integration is possible with the OAS, transforming the MPG-plus gripper and PGN-plus universal gripper into seeing grippers with no costly vision systems. The optimization also ensures more work is done on each procedure.

It uses Infrared wavelength of 850 nm and complies with the IP65 protection class. This device can carry multifunctional tasks for automation modules and other grippers. This product is ideal for temperatures between -10 °C and +55 °C.

The device constantly delivers data to the control unit including information of how far the material is located or if a part has always been gripped with the gripper fingers.
