Fiber-optic Cables by Avantes are actually wide-ranging and hence can easily meet a variety of configurations and lengths. Two-meter lengths are used for general applications and that is the standard fiber length of the cable. SMA-905 or FC/PC connectors, either same at the ends or different are offered by Avantes. Certain applications require a special round to linear fiber cables and in such cases a bundle of fibers will be configured in a circular pattern on one end and the other end features a linear array. The height of the linear array is the same as that of the slit height of the spectrometer, both 1mm. This fiber configuration is perfect for applications looking for high-sensitivity. The measurement and sensitivity of the wavelength range depends on the fiber-optic cable types and diameters.
