The CS35L32 is a boosted 5 V nominal mono Class-D speaker amplifier featuring Cirrus Logic’s proprietary Hybrid Class-D Architecture and combines the benefits of both linear and switching amplifier technologies. The IC’s Hybrid Class-D architecture offers best-in-class idle power consumption and low radiated emission while maintaining high output power efficiency and superior audio.

Automatic Class G operation using a boosted supply to the speaker allows for even more battery savings and higher crest factor audio capability. In addition, the battery voltage, speaker voltage, and speaker current signals are monitored, digitized and serialized over an I²S bus. The speaker monitoring signals are part of a speaker-protection algorithm that is developed by Cirrus Logic and runs external to the CS35L32.
