The CG/CG2 series manufacctured by Littelfuse, is a gas discharge tube intended for use on telecommunication networks. The CG model functions as a protection of test and communication equipment in cases of low voltage limits and low arc voltages are needed. On the other hand, the CG2 model is utilized in cases when higher voltage limits and holdover voltages are required. This device is equipped with comgaps that works as switches which dissolves a minimum amount of energy and handles the current that surpass other types of transient voltage protection.
