The Fiber Optic Isolators which have been designed by Newport are passive, fiber pigtailed devices. They reduce back reflections and backscattering of light, and are particularly desirable in laser applications.

There are three models to meet with specific isolation requirements. The standard ISC Model isolator has a very low polarization mode dispersion and features typical peak isolations of >40 dB. The enhanced ISS Model and supreme ISU Model isolators offer stable performance and have extremely low polarization mode dispersion over a wide temperature and wavelength range.

The F-ISO Series Fiber Optic In-Line Bulkhead Isolators have the highest quality on the market, as well as being the smallest in size. They function reliably in a range of environments due to their rugged construction. These isolators are ideal for integration in a multitude of fiber optic systems due to their small size, low loss, polarization insensitivity and low reflection.
