right-angle prism / fused silica / BK7

Altechna manufactures Right-Angle Prisms out of BK7 or UVFS. They have a dimension tolerances, clear aperture, pyramidal tolerance, surface quality, surface flatness and protective chamfers of +0/-0,2 mm, >80%, ±1 arcmin (general type), 40/20 S/D, λ/4 @ 632.8 nm and <0,25 mm x 45 deg, respectively. Moreover, their 90 deg angle tolerance is at ±2 arcmin for the general type and ±5 arcsec for precision type. These prisms are best when used to an inclined mirror and in applications which include heavy acoustic or inertial loads as they are easily-mounted and harder to disfigure as compared with a mirror responding to an outer mechanical pressure.
