Single shaft shredders, type LEOPARD are used in recycling operations for the production of valueable secondary raw materials. The feed material should be in pieces or in order to be metered into the machine. Whereby, it does not make any difference to the LEOPARD whether or not it is fed with old tire chips or automotive shredder residue (ASR). It despises used telecommunication equipment and cables as well as circuit boards, cable residues, household waste for substitute fuel and safety floor coverings.Anywhere where roughest conditions exist and reliability is required, the LEOPARD is found in action.

Method of Operation:

The single shaft shredder, type LEOPARD size reduces all cuttable material to a particle size smaller than 20 mm or when necessary coarser. Material is normally fed by means of a conveyor belt or vibratory feeder across the entire width of the machine. The innovative ECOCUT TM rotor is equipped with massive, serrated rotor knife elements that can be used in both rotational directions. They work the material between the stator serrations. The tearing elements do not require re-sharpening, due to the regular reversing action of the rotor they are self sharpening. Only the stators must be adjusted at specific intervals and that can be comfortably performed from outside the machine. Well dimensioned screens are installed in the lower part of the housing, which retain the cut material in the cutting chamber until the desired final size of the material achieved.
