Pneumatic equipment operates with purified and dried compressed air for the user of breathing masks during permanent use. This works as a charger. Dry and cold compressed air causes dry mucous membranes which results in catching a cold.

As per the DIN directives and physiological and medical aspects, breathing air at the workplace ("IAO") must be free from dust (DIN 3188), free from harmful gases and vapours, and odorless. The temperature should be between 20 - 24° C, Relative humididy between 30 - 70 % and Air flow speed max at 0.15 m/sec. In order to achieve an optimum painting result, the compressed air used for painting is filtered, dried and, stripped of oil remainders as far as possible. The compressed air thus purified does not comply with the aforementioned requirements and hence must be further purified for use with supplied air breathing masks.
