Siemens SITRANS DA400 acoustic sensor is ideal for continuously monitoring positive displacement pumps of oscillating-piston type.

The tiniest of leaks in the delivery valves is found out by the diagnostic system. This early detection of defects ensures the process is not affected. Up to four independent delivery valves can be
monitored at the same time without interruption. For monitoring of pump diaphragms and oil, the sensor has four extra inputs.

The SITRANS DA400 acoustic analyzer allows the system to be configured and operated with ease, using a LCD and keyboard locally or via PROFIBUS DP/PA.

The master process control system receives signal of status and alarm notification. This is possible in three ways, either on the local display, or via digital outputs, or via PROFIBUS DP/PA.
