The Thomas dredge pump series from METSO can handle operations with tailings, sand and gravel, contract dredging, sand waste, booster, and material transfer pumping. It may be rotated either to the right or the left, and the impeller is easily removed due to a knock out ring. Also, the Thomas can handle flow rates between 100 and 11000 m3/h. An integrated Suction Clean-out also makes the inspection pump access easy. Moreover, the bearings and the shaft are oversized for longevity. Metal to metal connection is also ensured to be the Armor-lok technology installed on the sides. Abrasion resistant alloys for wear part materials may also be chosen.
