slurry pump / centrifugal / vortex / integrated

The Metso Minerals VF froth pump is specifically created for increased efficiency in frothy suspension pumping. It is designed using the same principle as hydro-cyclone separation.

The separation of air from the slurry happens in a vortex, created by the rotation of the impeller and the tangential inlet to the conical sump of the pump. The result is higher and more efficient pumping capacities and pulsation-free operation, with no air-locking.

The pump has an integrated unit for flexible layout. This is constructed with a cantilever design that alleviates the need for shaft seals or submerged bearings. This contains smooth operating open vortex and air-locking prevented by the vertical 'wet end' inlet. Wear parts are offered in a variety of materials, and provide easy maintenance.
