Design is used for discharging of condensate from steam-heated systems, heat exchangers, heating batteries, radiators, steam pipes and other equipment.
It is based on the liquid evaporation principle and can provide operating range from 0.01 to 10 bar at temperatures of 200 °C. It can be used as angle or goblet valve and features threaded connections.
Steam traps are composed of a body, an operating element, a seat and plug and are controlled by temperature and pressure. They are usually referred to as quick-acting condensate drains. Main operating element is a metal bellows that is is filled with a water/alcohol mixture. A change in temperature results in a corresponding change in valve plug position.
