The Model 4650-PM is highly sensitive and meets US-EPA Performance Specification 11 (PS-11). The measurement technique has a high signal to noise ratio even at very low dust concentrations below 0.1mg/m3.The Model 4650 is suitable for modern industrial plant, where emissions are controlled well below the application and minimum detection limit of traditional optical transmission systems. The system comprises a Laser-based forward scatter probe mounted in the plant exhaust stack, coupled to a control unit which supplies the power to the probe, and accepts measurements from the probe itself. It also controls all the probe setting including Emission and Alarm levels, calibration settings and a system overview display.

The Model 4650-PM complies with US-EPA PS-11, plus 40 CFR 1040.10 and 1040.11
