Manufactured by Avantes, NIR spectrometers are instruments that can measure up to 1700nm. The spectrometers are available in three configurations: the AvaSpec-NIR256-1.7, the AvaSpec-NIR256/512-1.7 TEC, and the AvaSpec-NIR256-1.7TEC. The AvaSpec-NIR256-1.7 has a sample speed of 1.06 ms/scan and an integration time as fast as 10 µs. It may be powered by default USB power, 350 mA or by an SPU2 external 12VDC, 150 mA. The AvaSpec-NIR256/512-1.7 TEC has a sample speed of 0.31 ms /scan @ 0.09ms integration time. It can be handled through two distinct gain-setting modes, the high-sensitivity mode (HS, default) and the low-noise (LN) mode. The AvaSpec-NIR256-1.7TEC has a sample speed of 0.19 ms/scan at an integration time of 0.08ms. It has a data transfer speed of 1.0 ms/scan in a USB2 port.
