For processing of control applications, Avantes has on offer AvaSpec spectrometer which can operate in stand-alone mode. without being connected to any computer. The model's output analog or digital signals can be directly coupled to Programmable Logical Controllers in a process control environment. To get the desired stand-alone functionality, it is important to define the functions for which the parameters are controlled and measured. The functions are definied as History Channel Functions and the output values as 8 digital TTL functions for which thresholds are set using the pertinent software. The two functions are also used to output an 8-bit analog value om tje 0-5V voltage range.
