The ELTRAs TGA Thermostep is a type of a thermogravimetric analyzer which has the function to determine different parameters including moisture, volatiles, and ash, in a user-defined temperatures and atmospheres using single analysis. The TGA Thermostep continuously analyzes up to 19 samples with weights of at most 5 g. This device can be utilized at a temperature of up to 1000 °C.

One special feature of this device is the ability to manage a crucible covers. This feature allows the precise determination of the volatile content in coal and coke, for example. Other advantages includes its robust design which permits the usage in production control and laboratory and its crucible covers that can be placed and removed during the analysis.
