The Mercury 901 is manufactured by Nira Instruments, and is a transportable automatic analyzer that has a flame ionization (FID) detection system. It has easy reading due to its color TFT screen, which has an ergonomic design configuration and easy keyboard access.

The unit consists of a pump with heated head which intakes the sample from drawing point and through the heated line with fiber glass filter. It has a measuring range of 30 to 10000 mg/m³ with completed analytic cycle time of 120 sec. It can also operate at a temperature of 10 to 40°C with power rating of 220 V AC and 500 VA.
