Pulsar serves as a high resolution, benchtop, cryogen-free NMR analyser. The device uses 60 MHz rare-earth permanent magnet. The cryogen-free system offers high resolution (<1 hz achieved using autoshim function, no manual shimming required). 19f or 1h measurements are on a single probe. the benchtop nmr system does-not require specific room. its small footprint makes it virtually suitable for any laboratory from side-by-side with reaction vessel in applied research environment, to near-line an industrial production area. analyzer offers user-friendly operation undergraduate students and is perfect teaching departments.
Professor David Haddleton in the Department of Chemistry, University of Warwick, UK has trialled Pulsar in his undergraduate laboratory. Pulsar was introduced at Warwick into a year three synthetic chemistry undergraduate laboratory and used to follow real time organic, inorganic and polymer reactions taken direct from the reaction medium. Installation was simply plugging in the 13A plug and leaving to warm up overnight.
