resistive glass
The FieldMaster™ Resistive Glass is ideally designed to provide a good quality performance and functionality for very specific applications. It is provided with a lead silicate which is basically used to build a very protective layer at the device's surface wherein it acts as a semiconductor of the resistive components creating a uniform electric field when the high quality glass apparatus is utilized in several Capillary Inlet Tubes. The voltage incorporated within the device is attached across the tube to attract positive or negative ions more effectively drawing them into a mass spectrometer. The electric field is capable of guiding or directing charged particles, improving ion transmission in atmospheric pressure ionization applications. The Resistive Glass avoids ion collisions from other ions and the tube walls which results to the reduction of the loss and boosting sample transfer efficiency of a certain unit.
