This electronic key cabinet EKC 48 is perfect when several users need to access the keys and helps lower the prices of exchange locks and keys while not a single key to the cabinet can be misplaced. The access is provided by a user-defined code across four and ten numbers that is entered through a qwerty keypad.

For safety reasons, the cabinet will get locked for about five minutes in case an incorrect code in entered more than thrice consecutively. Additionally this unit is battery-operated and the locking system work for about 4000 operations before the batteries are changed. In case the battery gets exhausted, attaching a new battery to the outer emergency power-up contacts and typing the right code can still unlatch the cabinet.
