The system only requires the fast tap of a hammer for pre-locking of wedges. The ribbed lower wedge and grooved housing increases the holding strength. The attachment and tightening already has a final lock in the engaged position. The quick setup saves time whenever there is a breakdown. The return spring holds wedges up so that the belt can be simply slid into a clamping position. The beveled edges of the housing permit simple belt engagements. There is the elimination of sharp corners along with edges. This provides a smoother transition from the clamp to belt which reduces the chance of belt damage.
