Köberlein & Seigert presents magnetic handling. This is particularly useful during supply of iron-based workpieces to the feeder from heavy containers.
The bulk material meant for transportation is passed from a container. This is done through multiple electromagnets, which are attached to the lifting unit. For this purpose, the electromagnets in disconnected state are brought down over the bulk material. Using current, these magnets are then activated for pulling the parts, which are meant for sorting. The lifting unit then transports the parts upward over the hopper to the feeder. Here, the lifting unit drops down the parts and the electromagnets are deactivated.
The device provides simple feeding, even with high volumes. It is an excellent substitute to lifting/tipping equipment. Also, it requires very little space.
