The company MERZ Verpackungsmaschinen GmbH is a long-standing manufacturer of Stickpack machines of different kinds and for different areas of application.
The scope of further packaging units for Stickpacks has been extended by a semi-automatic folding box filling station, including a pick- & place unit.
On this unit, folding boxes with automatic bottom and tuck-in flaps can be processed. Manually erected cardboard boxes are transported to the filling station by a conveyor belt. At the pick-up position, the Stickpacks are picked up by a Scara-robot, transported to the folding box and then placed into it. A rotation of 90° of the suction unit of the Scara-robot enables an optional arrangement of the Stickpacks in the folded cardboard box.
Depending on the format, up to 70 Stickpacks/min. can be processed per track. The semi-automatic folding box filling is available with 1 or 2 tracks. The printing of production dates on the folding boxes can be performed by an inkjet printer.
Optionally, the lines can also be equipped with a folding box erector, a brochure insertion unit and a check weighing unit.
