The 24A series is composed of permanent magnet DC electric motors developed by BODINE ELECTRIC COMPANY. The motors are fully enclosed with an IP 40 degree of protection without ventilation. The insulation is class F while the rating is class B. They have an external brush access so that it can provide easy inspection and replacement. The brushes are over sized to achieve long life. The noise tested ball bearings have permanent lubrication. A locked bearing is equipped with the motors for the minimization of the end play.
