The NEMA arrangement supports the speedy and precise centered coupling of the widest range of motors and gears. ZEITLAUF® antriebstechnik has developed connectors for planetary and spur gearheads that can readily be fixed to NEMA motors. Gearmotors are available for NEMA sizes 17,23, and 34, and the Flatline, Compactline, Performax and NoiselessPlus lines each have one gearhead in these sizes.

The modular nature of the system gives 174 options (with respect to gearheads, reductions, and types of output shaft bearing). Plastic wheels have optimum sliding properties and helical teeth in the first stage improve noise reduction. The output shaft is hardened and ground and connectors are guaranteed 5000 years of life (at 3000 rpm input speed and operating ratio, cB = 1). Products work at all ambient temperature conditions (-20°C to +80 °C) and give maintenance-free grease lubrication for life.
