The iMC-S8 is a freely programmable compact controller from Isel that is ideal for near or circular axes with 2-phase step motors. The device combines the essential units including power supply, safety circuit, power electronics, core processor, interfaces, and operating elements in order to control individual spindles all the way to entire machines. The controller has an intelligent core module which is controlled and calibrated using its RS232 interface. The control module also transforms the command programmed into clocking or direction signs for the connected final stages.
The iMC-S8 runs on a 100 -250 V Ac power supply with a flash memory processor of 1328 kB. It can store up to 350 commands and has a maximum step output frequency of 40 Khz.
