There is a wide range of Vertical Positioning equipments that Newport provides in order to match the different experimental needs. The up/down movement of horizontal mounting platforms are facilitated by the lab jacks and vertical stages and can offer various axis of positioning in combination with the linear stages.
The specifically designed high-load lab jacks in Model 271 and 281 allow smooth, stable height adjustment and heavy load capacity. The normal process involves reduction in the distance in crossed members with the help of traditional scissors and dual-pantograph jacks and are comparatively less stable at higher elevations. On the contrary, the unique design of Newport makes use of three orthogonal hinges that align in a box form enabling increased stability and enhanced height.
All the lab jacks and ECN and ECR Series jacks have a provision for height adjustments for optical mounts and assemblies where the height adjustment can be done by circulating the platform on a threaded column.
