The P-871 transducers are one of a kind products offered by PI to act as closed-loop benders. The special bender design allows the direct application of a strain gauge sensor to the surface without the need for a polymer insulation layer in between.

It features pneumatic valves as well as fiber-optic positioning and switches. The P-871 is also equipped with Beam-steering and micro-positioning, not to mention nanotechnology. It also features internal silver-palladium electrodes and ceramic insulation applied in a co-firing process. These units are designed to cater to a variety of applications and operational tasks based on the customers requirements.
