Physik Instruments offers compact multi-axis actuators ideal for research and industry operations. The P-111 - P-151 PICA shear actuators have an operating voltage of -250 to 250V. Using the piezoelectric shear effect, the actuators produce a lateral motion with minimal electric power needed. The actuators are available in 4 versions with displacements up to 10 µm enabling a high reliability of >109 cycles. Made of PZT ceramic material with extra-tight length tolerances, the PICA actuators also have non-magnetic versions.
