Conventional DC motors deliver automatic commutation by using a stationary magnet with a rotating armature in combination with commutation segments and brushes. However, the brushless DC motor features a reversed design where it is the permanent magnet that is rotating and the windings remain stationary. Has no need for a commutator-and-brush system. Brilliant construction provides for long, trouble-free life even at high speeds. The frame size of the motor range from 12.7 mm to 58 mm. The motor can run at a high speed of 100 000 rpm. Features a variable torque range from 3.3 mNm to 316 mNm. User can choose to control the speed, direction and current control. Comes with autoclavable capabilities. It is possible to buy the motor with hall sensor or without it. A main characteristic of the device is its Linear torque/speed curve, where the torque is proportional to current and the speed to voltage.
