The natural gas pipeline operations are affected by the formation or presence of the liquids in the gas pipelines. In order to restrict the formation of the liquid in the pipeline, the dew point of the natural gas should be checked on a consistent basis.

The standard bureau of Mines Dew Point Teaser, which was used to determine the dew point of the natural gas, were difficult to use by the operators and technicians. Viewing the mirror in the daylight was difficult and at night it became impossible. A user of the standard tester had to take off his sight from the mirror to determine current mirror temperature & its rate of decrease.
