Not to be confused with multicouplings used in push-pull techniques and special docking systems, these automatically operated multicouplings are specifically designed for fully-automated operations only. Movement of these couplings are performed in three ways: hydraulically, mechanically, and pneumatically.

Multicouplings that are in plate mounting are compatible with different required media elements.
