Type:
inherently fire-resistant
MARLAN®, an inherently flame retardant fabric used in protective clothing against aluminium molten metal splashes
Properties:
*Developed to protect workers in aluminium foundries, even in high critical areas
*Inherently flame retardant meaning that protection is not reduced through continuous use or washing
*Made up of natural fibres, the characteristics of which give
**Protection: molten metal splashes simply slide off the fabric instead of sticking to it
**Comfort & Durability: MARLAN is comfortable to wear and easy to wash
The main advantages of MARLAN:
*Inherently fire resistant due to the characteristics of its fibres
*High resistance to molten metal splashes
*Wide range of colours, being able to be dyed in any colour
*Can be manufactured with anti-static properties
*Possibility of oil or water repellent finish
MARLAN is available in different ranges, weights (235-460 g/m2), colours and finishings and could supply fabrics for

*Marlan HV (EN 471) High visibility – protection against invisibility of the worker
*Marlan SX (EN 11612) with ceramic – protection against high impact molten metal splashes
MARLAN reaches the highest level in the required European and American Standards for protective clothing, like:
*EN ISO 11612 Protective clothing – clothing to protect against heat and flame
*EN ISO 9185 The fabric has the maximum value D3 for protection against aluminium splashes and E3 for iron splashes
*EN 61482-1-2 Electric Arc
*EN 471 High visibility
