full-color camera / CCD / for microscopes

This microscopic color camera is a ZEISS AxioCam ERc 5s model. While it functions as a standalone imaging station, it can also be used in a conventional way in conjunction with the AxioVision mechanisms.

Computers and software are not needed in order to acquire image samples. The camera has five megapixels and stores images on memory cards in the common SD formats. This makes it an economical machine. Two easily accessible buttons are used to operate this camera.

White balance is achieved using one button and the other takes the picture. The SD card can be inserted into a computer's memory slot in order to transfer the images. All the ZEISS brand microscopes are completely compatible with this particular camera.
