The Storm Guardian is manufactured by Casella. It is a precautionary warning system, that is designed to lessen the danger to lives and properties caused by heavy rainfall and flash floods. The unit has a tipping bucket rain gauge (TBRG) connected to a GPRS enabled datalogger, it works independently for a maximum of 7 years on a single battery. It also has an optional email and SMS alarms, and requires only minimum maintenance. Furthermore, it has a rugged non-corrosive construction that requires minimum maintenance.
