Nikon's 6B autocollimator will check for alignment and measures small angular deviations to get a reading of height or flatness using simple geometry. The 6D darkfield model will first project a bright crossline, which makes it the most popular model because bright-line cross is very easy to spot. It has a measurement accuracy of 0.5 arc seconds.
