The Olympus series of high-performance Peltier cooled, digital color cameras have been equipped with the most leading edge pixel shifting technology that provides an advanced 17.28 megapixel resolution, 4 binning modes, and 14-bit A/D conversion for increased bit depth. The new 3-CCD mode, allows pixel shifting of 3 colors, and mode color shift. A 2.01 megapizel color CCD is integrated with pixel shift technology to capture a 17.3 megapixel resolution. The unit also provides a 3-CCD pixel shift mode that allows three color image resolution (RGB) contained within a single pixel to further improve resolution.
