When it comes to efficient production of thermocouple measuring junctions and other fine wire welds, the SR-80 is an ideal capacitance discharge welder. It is made in UK and its welding capacity is up to 2 x 1.6mm with an energy output of 0 to 80 joule. It produces fast operation and is used worldwide. The welder has three selectable power ranges which provide fine adjustment of the weld power very useful for fine wires. It can also weld wires of dissimilar and similar metals including copper. The welder has a wait lamp with interlock to prevent usage until the current set charge is reached - and a facility to connect Argon when very clean welds are required. The power supply required is 220/240V AC.It comes with a one year warranty.
