Two consumables with CIJ technology, make-up fluid and ink, are mixed to ensure that the correct chemical processes are maintained in the printed fluid.

For excellent performance the demand is such that the formulated fluid is able to avoid chemical reactions. Ink and makeup fluid should be highly compatible and also tuned to ensure that print operations are always correct.

An additional part of its function is to make up for the evaporation of solvents during the CIJ process to ensure that there is consistency in the performance of the ink.
