BIG KAISER introduces its latest generation of digital boring heads called EWD EVO. The goal of this project was simple: Make the life of an operator manufacturing bores within tightest tolerances as easy as possible. As main news, the boring heads communicate via radio transmission with your smartphone or tablet and provide information on diameter of the cutting edge as well as relevant cutting data including estimated machining time and recommendation of insert to the operator. Moreover, all adjustments made on a certain boring head are listed in the application, which increases productivity because the estimated life time of an insert can be measured. Also, thanks to its brand-new construction and latest Piezo button technology, the new boring head enables even higher performance and is sealed IP69, the highest rate possible. All accessories such as boring bars and insert holders built for previous boring heads are fully compatible with the new EWD EVO.

The new EWD EVO lifts boring performance, security and handling on a new level. It’s available by the end of December 2016.
