The SRS series by Branson consists of products that are known for their efficient batch or continuous distillation of solvents, commonly used with applications in the industrial cleaning sector. The device operates by heating the solvent that is contaminated until it boils. The resulting solvent is then condensed on a condensing coil.

Another important aspect is that the pure solvent and the atmospheric moisture are collected in a trough, while the soils are concentrated in the sump of the still, until they are completely drained and shut down. When used for solvent reclamation, the still is operated until the boiling sump level falls to a pre-determined depth. Finally, more solvent is added and the item will repeat the process until the contamination is removed.
