Owing to its superior flexibility and lightness, the CTA 40 HS automatic tool changer can easily adapt with a wide range of machine tools such as milling machines, vertical and horizontal machining centers, integrated lathes, transfer machines and special machinery. Furthermore, this system can be combined with tools with HSK 50 and HSK63 cones or Capto C5 and C6, and can be used in combination with general tool changer versions HTC 140, VTC40 and CUT41, which are fitted with a gripper arm of type BP 41.

The bushing movement of this system is based on a patented system that does not require either belts nor cables, which eradicates the need for regular maintenance to troubleshoot the tension. Additionally, this system is powered by a top notch gearbox complete with a servo motor. The version CTA 40 HS offers a distinct advantage of overturning the desired tool holding brush in both curved as well as straight sections. This allows it to adapt well to the machine needs.
