BEG 55 offers a powerful yet compact construction, being one of the latest electro-hydraulic series of units. In addition to the powerful electronic motor, which runs the spindle, the feed is powered hydraulically and controlled in the same way. Next, the hydraulic feed control makes it possible to use rapid advance and adjust the feed rate proportional to the pitch and the rpm.

The tapping spindle provides the unit with the necessary length compensation, while the series is available in two different taper options and multi-spindle heads. The construction is a compact, yet powerful one, while the integrated hydraulic system and the long stroke, of 120 mm, are other major advantages. It has a low noise level and high precision. Note that the power is between 370 and 2,400 W, while the speed is between 250 and 1,980 rpm.
